Perched on top of a hill, Lagoa is surrounded by whitewashed houses and vineyards. Manueline window and doorways evoke the feeling of being in another time and suggest ways of life ages old. Compared to other tourist centers in this region of the Algarve, Lagoa is peaceful and relatively low-key.
