    The Algarve

    To the south of mainland Portugal, you will find the Algarve, with fantastic touristic ventures and beautiful beaches, golf courses, the Algarve is a reference destination in Europe.

    With the temperate climate, winter is short with an average temperature that varies between 10º and 18º and a long summer with average temperatures between 18º and 30º is thus the weather in the Algarve.

    In the region, we find saws and beaches, and a paradisiacal sea on the south facing beaches, the average temperatures of the sea water are above 20º.

    Geography

    There are 16 locations in the Algarve, offering diversity of fauna, flora, beach and other tourist attractions.

    The Algarve has many tourist attractions to discover, but its impressive fauna, flora and its wonderful beaches stand out.

    After passing the plains of Alentejo the mountain of the Caldeirão appears to be a real business card. The highest point of the Region is the mountain of Monchique with 902m of altitude the "Pico de Foia"

    The Atlantic Ocean, on the west coast, always warm and inviting, with rock formations (cliffs) that hide small paradisiacal beaches.

    The "Ria Formosa" was chosen as a natural park in 1978, its extension, begins in the county of Loulé until the county of Vila Real de Santo António, with greater predominance in the county of Faro, hiding of the Atlantic through a long dune that Forms two peninsulas, the Peninsula of Cacela and the Peninsula of the Ancão.

    The Algarve is nowadays a multicultural center, since it is much sought after by international tourism, it already has a large resident population, coming from various parts of the world.

    The West Zone is designed by stunning cliffs that create the perfect landscape for villas with stunning views.

    This region is ideal for those who enjoy contact with nature, with a slightly cooler average temperature.
